Ponds and raceways are gravity fed from water of Ae which is a tributary of river Annan.
No treatment records to check as there has been no medicinal treatments used on site since 2016. No fish are prepared for table production with all stock moving to Ae fishery. All stock coming onto the site sourced from same business operators sites in England.
Water visibility low and fish hard to see due to the low stocking density. Fish responding well to feed and no moribund or lethargic fish observed while on site.

Business internally refers to the site as Barony.
Facilities are fed from water of Ae; the source and exit of the water is screened and each individual earth pond is screened as well.
Prophylactic formalin water treatment occurred across the site in January 2025.
During the inspection the water visibility was poor and the fish were sitting deep within the water column. Fish seen appeared in good condition, feeding and swimming as expected. [Original PDF]
