Waste is taken to Dundas Chemicals by Billy Bowie when capacity exceeds incinerator limits.
A few fish with fungus observed across site (1 or 2 per cage) but were sitting deep in the water and exhibiting normal behaviour.
Motalities across site mainly attributed to Saprolegnia and RTFS.

All stock coming onto site are from internal MOWI hatcheries. All fish vaccinated prior to transfer.

The fish have been recently transferred from the hatchery and are feeding deep in the cages.
Six pens had added photoperiod. No moribunds observed and all fish sampled for the VMD appeared healthy.

Wk50 2022 - transfer mortality, oxygen in lorry 3 froze that day. Site tried to suspend delivery due to weather conditions but the fish were already loaded. 5400 mortality in one delivery during transport. Fish never made it into the loch. Mortality not reported due to being during transport.
Due to fungus, 1 hour bath treatments with a mix of Formaldehyde and Cress (Bronopol) have been given to stocked facilities.
This has been repeated regularly approximately every week.
Most recent health report dated 20/01/2023 - main findings fungus (saprolegnia).
Fish on site will be going to Seaforth and Colonsay.
One mort observed across the whole site.

Nephrocalcinosis and fungus main issues on site at present.
One fish seen swimming upside down in middle of cage - outwith reach so not collected for sampling.
Visibility quite good. Fish generally in good condition. A few seen with a small amount of fungus. Some slight dorsal fin damage in some fish.
Transport mortality assigned to Lochy as had not reached the seawater site - below reporting threshold (0.81%)

All fish came from Inchmore, stock type Mowi Ireland (Fanad).
Health surveillance: Pre and post transfer health checks and monthly health visit since stocking. Last health check
(17/02/2025) found saprolegnia is still present in some fish. Sampled fish had some healing dorsal fin damage, no scale losses and clear eyes. Internally, sampled fish had no clinical signs of disease and little feed within the GI tract.
Intake mortality from December was taken away from site by to Biogas Ltd.
Pens 1-19 came in December and pens 20-36 came in January - the January batch came in with a higher level of fungus from the hatchery than the December intake. In particular, pens 30 and 31 are experiencing higher mortality levels than other pens due to saprolegnia.
Treatments: Regular treatments of Aquacen and Cress. Most recent Group 3 - 11/03/2025. Prescriptions seen.
During physical inspection of the site, most fish were deep within the water column outwith visibility. Of those which could be seen closer to the surface, fungus was observed on the occasional fish at a mild level. One moribund and 5 deceased fish were observed across the whole site.
