Ova arriving on site from Troutex in Denmark. Shipment was due to be inspected upon arrival, however the connection flight was missed and the shipment was delayed by a day so was unable to be inspected.
Cress administered in feed at the beginning of January for gut fungus.
Ova are generally taken on from Denmark as site has been very happy with the stock they have received so far. Site might also receive ova from South Africa this year, but this has not been decided yet.
Site is planning 5 movements on this year, with each batch containing 90,000 ova.
Movements off site all go into Frandy (FS0551).
Site thermometer used due to biosecurity risk.

Issues with delays in imports of eggs arriving on site during 2021 due to issues with lack of suitable flights from London to
Edinburgh and courier delays. One whole batch arrived dead after 9 day delay in April 2021. Situation has improved now that shipments are going on flight to Edinburgh from London rather than waiting for courier collection. Next batch due on site on
Thursday this week from USA.
Mortality peaks observed about a month after each input of ova due to egg picking and culls of deformities
Cress 50% currently being fed for gut fungus - associated mortalities low. Chloramine T also used, last treatment in July 2022.
Veterinary services now provided by Pharmaq Analytiq since company vet left in November 21.
Site thermometer used in line with biosecurity protocol. [Original PDF]

Site consists of 16 tanks and 16 hatching troughs. Only 4 of each currently stocked. Water is sourced from a spring outside of the site and has screens set up preventing potential contaminates entering the site which is all indoors. Inlets and outlets to the tanks have screens to prevent escapes while the outflowing water drain has multiple screens as well.
All units were inspected and no signs of disease along with no moribund or lethargic fish were observed.
Part of the case paperwork was carried out the week prior the site inspection after biosecurity, treatment and health surveillance records were sent to case inspector.
Water temperature was taken using site's own thermometer for biosecurity reasons.
All fish moved to Frandy when ready in sealed containers and oxygen levels monitored. Mortalities are also transferred to
Frandy where they are ensiled. [Original PDF]
