Paperwork inspected by , observed by on 22/04/2021. Physical inspection of the site conducted on 26/05/2021 by
.
Increase in mortality in June 2020. This was because no fish bought for the table market by the biggest customer to Trossachs due to COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, fish numbers on the site were increasing. Once customer began buying fish again as restrictions eased, a lot of grading was required to get the fish sorted before sale. Weakest fish were removed during the course of the grading. Mortality quickly returned to background levels.
Import received from Northern Ireland. Import health certificate inspected. Will not be importing fish on a routine basis.
Evidence of otters has been observed on site. Electric fences present but not around the whole site. Otters have burrowed under fences.
All medicated food mixed on site will be used on site. Feed is only mixed when required. The last time medicated feed was mixed on the site was 2019.
Two fish observed on site with small areas of the skin infected by what appears to be saprolegnia, but unable to catch fish. [Original PDF]

Paperwork inspected with the exception of the movement records and waste transfer inspected remotely 23/11/2022. Physical inspection conducted on 24/11/2022. Case inspector was accompanied by UKAS auditors during site inspection.
Increase in mortality August 2021 and was only occurring in the female stock. Fish were below mean weight of 750g and mortality percentage was never above 1.5%. Was thought to be enteric redmouth disease (ERM) but was confirmed to be a case of furunculosis after vet was called and diagnostic samples taken. Mortality levels dropped back down to normal levels during September after water temperatures dropped. No treatment was required.
Stock on site all comes from Invicta Trout (FS0537) with fish on site currently ranging in size from a minimum mean weight of
32g to 1,155g. With mean weight of site currently at 287g.
Some dead fish observed during inspection but numbers were low. One fish was spotted with a fungal lesion on the side of the head. Internal examination of this fish showed no signs of clinical disease so no diagnostic samples were taken.
Only 2 of the stocked ponds contain female RTR with the remaining stock all triploid. Site only intends to hold triploid stock once remaining female stock have been removed. Site has seen a reduction in disease issues since the move to holding triploid stock.
Site has experienced some equipment damage due to badgers but this was only damage to the fence around the site with the health and the containment of the fish not being compromised. A new perimeter fence is to be installed. Site used to suffer from heron but this has since stopped after bird nets were installed.
Invoices/receipts for purchased treatments/medication not held on site but at companies main office. [Original PDF]

No treatments conducted since the last inspection.
Mortalities for the site are low, with predation as main cause. The site is covered with bird netting and there is a perimeter fence buried underground (some of it electrified). These are checked and repaired daily.
Water quality on site was clear and the majority of fish observed appeared in good condition with strong feeding response.
Very little external damage observed. Some dead fish were present but numbers were low.
Site now only used for restocking purposes.
