The site has two separate populations held in two sets of eight tanks known as First Feeding 1 and First Feeding 2. The mortality records are split into two sets of mortality data. There was one mortality event in First Feeding 1 in wk 43 that was above the mortality reporting threshold (39197 (3.43%)) however when population and mortality levels across the whole site are included the mortality rate for wk 43 was 1.73% which was below the reporting threshold
Increased morts in First Feeding 1 2023 wk 22 13,137 (2.11%), first feeding morts, 2024 wk 41 18242 (1.54%), wk 43 39197
(3.42%), wk 44 13084 (1.19%) fungus
Main issue was fungus in 2024, initially treated with formalin and bronopol, this resulted in water quality issues and affected bio filter functionality, the site was treated with increased salinity which was successful.
Fish are health screened prior to transfer to the ongrowing units.
Site thermometer is calibrated once a year by Electronic Temperature Instruments. This is used to recalibrate all the probes on site. [Original PDF]
